A long time ago I worked in theatre in London. I’ve been thinking recently of how much that time shaped me, remembering the work I was part of and the people I worked with, and I got the chance to visit the theatre I worked for. I’d never been to the actual Half Moon Theatre building in Limehouse – we were raising the funds to move there when I was Administrator of the then Half Moon Young People’s Theatre, so it was really exciting to see what has been built on the foundations we were laying. There is now an archive, trying to piece together the fast-moving history of the Half Moon, so I have begun to make my contribution. The next phase is to mine the garage for my ancient photos and see what is there from those days. Something for a rainy day in summer! The Half Moon has changed, and I have changed, and I am glad, but we are both still part of one another, and always will be. Time is a funny thing.
